Dr. Jagadish Chandra Barik
, Sr. Quality Consultant (20+ years experience)

Expertise:
Dr. Jagadish has twenty years of experience in projects, manufacturing, Service Industries, customer service, quality assurance and Lean Six Sigma. He is the founder Director of Lean Sigma Institute, Greater Noida (Delhi-NCR). He is working with Xchanging Technology as Director-Process Xcellence leading Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, Visual Management, BPMS, BSC, 5S & ISO-9001:2000 initiatives. Xchanging is a U.K. based BPO and IT company providing services to Financial Markets, Insurance, Procurement and HR services. He worked as Sr. Consultant and Master Black Belt at AIT (Advanced Integrated Technology) group, USA giving consultancy services in Lean, Six Sigma, Supply Chain Management through SCOR and Innovation. The AIT Group is a MNC having head office at Arizona, USA and regional offices at Luxembourg, Shanghai, Maxicali and Delhi. While at the AIT Group, Jagadish has deployed Lean Six Sigma, BPMS and 5-S initiatives at SKF, PPL, Hankel Corporation and various other organizations. He has presented papers at various seminars and conferences organized by IOD, CII, NCCI on Lean Six Sigma.

Prior to that, he worked as General Manager/ Six Sigma Master Black Belt at Reliance Industries Ltd, Hazira. He successfully delivered six sigma deployment, training and project coaching at many levels. He has worked and coached various projects covering improving efficiency, yield improvement, quality improvement, equipment reliability, machine up-time, inventory reduction, effluent load reduction, HR, finance, and reduction in variable cost. As a facilitator of Quality Circle, he has won awards at the state, national and international level. He was awarded as best trainer for conducting Six Sigma training programs at various levels in year 2003 & 2004. Two Six Sigma projects were awarded by QualTech at National level and two projects were awarded with Silver and Gold medal at ASQ Team excellence at international level. Prior to that he was involved in erection, commissioning and manufacturing of Polyester Staple Fibre projects ( DuPont, Neumag, Zimmer technology ) at Patalganga and Hazira sites.

Prior to Reliance, Jagadish has worked at Orissa Synthetics Ltd, Indian Acrylics Ltd and Consolidated Fibres and Chemicals Ltd. in Manufacturing, Projects, Quality Assurance and Customer Technical Services functions.
Selected Accomplishments:

  • As a Black Belt, Jagadish completed 6 projects with savings around 10.5 crores ($105 million) to the company. This included projects on yield improvement, quality improvement, machine availability and reduction in variable cost. The yield improvement project was awarded as one of the best six sigma projects in year 2001 in complex level.
  • As Six Sigma MBB, Jagadish guided and coached more than 500 projects both in Manufacturing and Service Sector
  • Trained more than 300 Green Belts, 100 Black Belts, and 3000 people in general awareness of Six Sigma.

George Eckes
(25+ years experience)
Expertise:
Six Sigma Consultant, Instructor, and best-selling author, who was a part of the core consultant team that helped GE launch Six Sigma in 1996. His recent clients have included Cisco, Hewlett Packard, J. P. Morgan Chase, Wells Fargo, Volvo, Molex, Inc., Household Retail Services, Household Consumer Lending and Park Nicollet Healthcare. Mahmoud Galal (25+ years experience)
Expertise:
Mahmoud Galal was born in 1959 in Alexandria, Egypt.  He attended the University of Alexandria and graduated in 1982 with a BSc in Engineering,  In 2000 he earned an  Executive Management Certificate from GE Crotonville University NY USA. He has spent his career at Dow Schlumberge, Caterpillar, Warner Lambert, TRW, and General Electric.

In 1996 he joined GE Aircraft Engines USA as a Six Sigma Black Belt.  While at GE he received his Six Sigma training from Dr. Mikel Harry’s team in Phoenix, Arizona.  He was certified & promoted to a Master Black Belt in 1997 and served two years in Singapore as a Master Black Belt educating and building an international team dedicated to disseminating Six Sigma teaching across all of GE’s businesses in Southeast Asia.  In 1999 he was promoted to General Manager of GE Engine Services, McAllen, Texas USA.  Through the implementation of Six Sigma techniques and the leverage of the NAFTA agreement he transferred business from the USA to Mexico.  In 2001 he was promoted to President and General Manager of GE On Wing Support (an organization with ten locations around the globe specializing in trouble shooting aircraft engines) headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA.

Mr. Galal directed all of his operations and businesses with Six Sigma methodology and teaching, yielding impressive results in bottom line profit and customer satisfaction.

He has been teaching Six Sigma Deployment to Business Leaders at the School of Business , Economics and Communication Institute of Quality Management at the American University in Cairo & currently consulting in The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

 


Eric Maass (29 years experience)
Expertise:
Six Sigma Lead Master Black Belt / Master Instructor, author of Motorola's first published Six Sigma articles on the focus on variance reduction as one of the originators of Six Sigma Methodology ("A Strategy for Reducing Variability..." and "System Moments Method for Reducing Fabrication Variability", both published in 1987). Eric developed and patented a novel multiple Y statistical optimization approach, Yield Surface Modeling; all 60 products developed using Yield Surface Modeling have been "first pass successes", with high yield. Eric has developed  Motorola's Six Sigma Black Belt, Design For Six Sigma, Digital Electronics and Wireless Communication courses, and coaches Master Black Belts, Black Belts and teams in both DMAIC problem solving and Design for Six Sigma.
